JOB SUMMARY
Performs assigned scrub duties, assists with patient care and assures optimum quality patient care using a
team approach.
Performs services requiring technical and manual skills under the direction of the Circulating RN.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
Graduate of a Program for Surgical Technology, Licensed Practical Nurse or candidate must have had 2 years
experience as a Surgical Technologist is required
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be
able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 days
Minimum Work Experience
A minimum of one-year hospital experience as an Operating Room Technician with a service orientation and
the ability to understand and react effectively to the surgical needs for all patient populations.
