Journeyman Network Analyst

 

WORK LOCATION: Hanscom AFB, MA 

 

Salary Range: $150,000 - $160,000 annually*

*depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications

 

JOB STATUS: Full-time

CLEARANCE: MUST have an active TS/SCI at time of hire

 

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Journeyman Network Analyst supporting the Special Programs Division (AFLCMC/HNJ) at Hanscom AFB. This role focuses on leading edge, advanced technology solutions for the warfighter's needs in such areas such as electronic and cyber warfare. AFLCMC/HNJ is organized into four branches and the Hanscom Collaboration and Innovation Center (HCIC). This role requires employee pass background screening for SAP.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must have and be able to maintain an active TS/SCI Clearance with SAP background screening
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems with a minimum of five years' experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Analyzing and recommending network requirements
  • Recommending and maintaining network architecture and infrastructure
  • Analyzing network workload
  • Monitoring network capacity and performance
  • Diagnosing and resolving network problems
  • Recommending network backup and recovery procedures
  • Installing, testing, maintaining, and upgrading network operating systems software; and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network services
  • Other duties as required

Technical Experience:

  • Possess the knowledge, experience, and demonstrated ability to perform tasks related to the technical/professional discipline they are performing
  • Possess the ability to work independently and apply the proper procedures and processes related to their area of expertise
  • Shall also possess the ability to solve problems and troubleshoot various situations to develop successful outcomes within established program/project guidelines (Program Office and Staff Level Support Interface)
  • Ability to coordinate and evaluate the efforts of functional specialists to identify specific requirements and to develop and adjust plans and schedules for the actions needed to meet each requirement on time.
