JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician II

Location: Bedford, NH

Department: Facilities & Maintenance

Reporting To: Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

Responsible For (Staff): No

The Facilities Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing highly diversified duties like installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintain utilities, production, and facility equipment in accordance with the site safety principles, predictive, and production maintenance systems and processes. Under minimal or no supervision, the Facilities Maintenance Technician II will carry out a wide range of equipment repairs and maintenance program by performing assigned tasks (e.g. Mechanical; electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning HVAC, plumbing, etc.) for GMP facilities, utilities equipment, laboratories, warehouse and buildings. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure contractor compliance with EH&S policies and procedures, including Hot Work and Lock Out Tag Out; uphold all safety procedures and safe practices.
  • Operate, maintain, and monitor all equipment utilities systems that supply GMP manufacturing.
  • Perform preventative, routine, and non-routine maintenance on GMP equipment, utilities and systems.
  • Proactively perform routine inspection of the utilities, equipment and facilities to ensure functionality and audit readiness.
  • Respond to critical alarms for equipment systems; investigate equipment failures and serve as system expert for troubleshooting and repairs purposes.
  • Document all work on validated systems including equipment logs, readings, and alarm investigations.
  • Analyze water systems, perform trend analysis and provide recommendations for program improvements and changes.
  • Respond to adverse conditions and implement corrective actions to restore equipment and/or utility to normal operation.
  • Escort, contractors in the execution of project activities, troubleshooting, planned and unplanned maintenance.
  • Participate in Facilities maintenance 24/7 on-call or emergency response rotation with limited supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency. 2-year Trade School or 3 years related industry experience, or some combination thereof.
  • Previous experience in a GMP and/or cleanroom facility preferred.
  • WFI systems, Purified Water, Clean Steam Compressed gas, Practical knowledge of GMPs and working in an SOP environment
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management software (i.e., Blue Mountain)
  • Basic understanding of computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Practical knowledge of GMPs

  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and must be able to work on feet all day.
  • Interacts with all departmental staff.
  • Communicates with other departments under direct supervision and constant communication with Manager.
