New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center (NHOC), a division of Northeast Orthopaedic Alliance (NOA), is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join our growing team.

As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming experience while helping our busy orthopedic practice operate efficiently. What You'll Do

As a Medical Receptionist, you'll help deliver an outstanding patient experience by:

Patient Check-In

  • Welcome patients with professionalism, warmth, and compassion
  • Register patients and verify demographic, insurance, and billing information
  • Collect co-pays and ensure all required documentation has been received
  • Communicate expected wait times and answer general patient questions
  • Notify providers of appointment cancellations and no-shows
  • Direct patients to the appropriate staff for billing or payment questions

Patient Check-Out

  • Review visit documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Schedule follow-up appointments
  • Collect patient balances and co-pays
  • Assist patients by directing billing questions to the appropriate team members

Office Support

  • Process insurance referrals and maintain accurate documentation
  • Fax Workers' Compensation forms and other required paperwork
  • Retrieve medical records, imaging reports, and other clinical documentation
  • Report missed post-operative appointments to physicians and care coordinators
  • Send appointment reminders and document patient communications
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front office
  • Support the team with additional administrative duties as needed

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Medical office or healthcare experience is a plus, but we're happy to train the right candidate
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
