About the Role Â
DeliverIt Group is urgently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist in Charge to conduct daily pharmacy operations, ensure medication safety, support patient care, and uphold compliance with all regulations. This role is ideal for a clinical leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about making a direct impact on patient well-being and operational excellence.Â
Duties & Responsibilities:
These include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure the pharmacy operates in full compliance with State board of pharmacy and federal regulations (DEA, HIPAA, etc.).
- Supervise pharmacy workflows, inventory control, and maintain adequate stock while reducing expired drugs.
- Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate pharmacy technicians and staff pharmacists.
- Perform traditional pharmacist duties, including prescription verification, patient counseling, and medication therapy management.
- Manage drug budgets, inventory accuracy, and assist with payroll and financial reports.
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy required.
- Current Texas Pharmacy Board License required.
- Experience in community marketing and healthcare networking is required.
- Thorough understanding of dosage administration and measurement, chemical compounds, medical brands, etc.
- Outstanding knowledge of Microsoft Office and Pharmacy information systems (e.g., PioneerRx, MatchRx, etc.)
- Exceptional organizational skills are required.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-oriented approach are required.
- Meticulous attention to detail is a must.
- Integrity and compassion are required.
- Ability to administer vaccinations in compliance with best practices.
- Knowledge of pharmacy procedures, including medication storage and recalls.
- Ability to create compound medication for individual patient needs.
- Proficiency with medication therapy management (MTM) to educate patients on their prescriptions.
- Familiarity with best dispensing practices.
