Job DetailsJob Location: Component Production - DFW - Bedford, TX 76021Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High School Diploma / GED EquivalentJob Shift: EveningsJob Category: ManufacturingPRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY Reporting to the Manager and Assistant Manager of Production/Labeling, the Production Technician  is responsible for the separation of whole blood into blood and blood components (including the proper operation of equipment and the labeling of blood components) for long-term storage or shipment. Functions must be completed in a manner consistent with all applicable standards, procedures, regulations, departmental goals and objectives, and must be in compliance with standards set forth by, but not limited to the following regulatory bodies: FDA, AABB, EU, and OSHA. Regular full-time attendance is required during normal working hours. QualificationsEDUCATION High School Graduate, or GED EXPERIENCE Production or manufacturing experience, preferred SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Must complete training for essential functions within 90 days, as appropriate for the shift assigned. Organized and able to document details accurately and completely, both electronically and manually Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team, with or without direct supervision Ability to work with strict time expectations, restraints and deadlines Uses equipment effectively, skillfully and efficiently Good verbal and written English communication skills Ability to remain focused on repetitive tasks Carter BloodCare is an EEO/Affirmative Action employer.
