SALARY RANGE: $140,000 -$150,000 annually

CLEARANCE: Secret clearance required to have at time of hire

 

 

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER to directly support the Aerospace Management Systems Division (AFLCMC/ESA), which is within the USAF Electronic Systems (ES) Directorate and located at Hanscom AFB, MA.

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must have an active Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in DoD. OR 15 years of directly related experience.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Experience: 

    • Substantial experience management of cost, schedule, and performance objectives of USAF systems acquisition
    • Comprehensive knowledge of principles, policies and practices of systems acquisition and program management, as defined in DoDI 5000.02 and 5000.75, as well as knowledge of roles and relationships within the DoD and the Air Force
    • Experience with development of spend plans, POM preparation, and congressional documentation (R and P doc)
    • Possesses the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, providing quality acquisition and program documentation including but not limited to briefings, documents, and plans
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, etc.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include, but not limited to: 

  • Support all program management aspects of cost, schedule, and performance objectives for acquisition programs.
  • Provide program level acquisition support to the Section Chief and 10 Integrated Product Team leads by helping guide successful program execution based on DoD Directives to include 5000.1/2, AFIs to include 62-601, 63-101, 63-124, 63-1201, AFPD 62-6, AFI 91-117/118/119, 99-103, and AFMAN 63-119, helping to maintain the acquisition battle rhythm and deliver warfighter capability. 
  • Summarize activities into a weekly program execution chart. 
  • Provide guidance on preparation and tailoring of acquisition documents to ensure consistency and accuracy. Documents may include, but are not limited to, Acquisition Decision Memorandum (ADM), Life Cycle Support Plan (LCSP), Acquisition Strategy Plan (ASP), Acquisition Program Baseline (APB), Risk Management Plans, Program Management Reviews, and milestone decision briefings.
  • Provide expert Program Management guidance to build Request for Proposal (RFPs), Statement of Work (SOWs), and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL), and other RFP products
  • Support, prepare, review and develop acquisition reports, including statutory and regulatory acquisition report and milestone review documentation as identified in DoDI 5000.02 (experience with LCMP tool, PDAA, PMRT, WAWF, CCaRS etc)
  • Ensure on-time responses for all LCMP suspenses for each program.  Check that LCMP updates are timely and in sync with other reports, particularly with risks, critical events, accomplishments, and schedule. Particular focus on contracts and funding.
