Meter Technician I Pay: $19.83 per hour
Meter Technician II Pay: $20.82 per hour
Minimum Qualifications:
Meter Technician I
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 High School Graduation or equivalent required.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Valid state Motor Vehicle Operator鈥檚 license and acceptable driving record required
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 One year of experience with field service or equivalent related experience involving customer service.
Meter Technician II
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 High School Graduation or equivalent required
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Valid state Motor Vehicle Operator鈥檚 license and acceptable driving record required
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience in providing exceptional customer service
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 One year of experience with meter reading or equivalent related experience involving customer service
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Possess or obtain a Confined Space Entry Certification within six months of employment
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Possess or obtain an OSHA 10 Certification within six months of employment
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Knowledge of municipal water system operations
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Knowledge of safety procedures for confined space
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Effective communication and customer service skills
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Skilled in the safe operation of motor vehicles
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to accurately read and record data from meter dials
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to read maps and follow a prescribed route and schedule
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and water pumps
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to work independently and follow direction
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to operate a meter reading data collection device and customer information system
