BUDGETED SALARY: $43,324.76.00/ANNUALLY
Essential Duties:
- Participates in the layout and marking of roads and parking lots prior to painting, including road intersection markings, special zones, and other traffic lines on street pavements and curbs as required
- Operates sign and road marking support vehicles as required
- Participates in the installation, repair and maintenance of traffic signs and posts, prepares materials to be used for installations and maintains sign shop equipment
- Fabricates signs in the shop utilizing a computerized sign making system, as required
- Prepares and completes written Traffic Work Orders

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Certifications, Licensures, and Examinations:
Possession of a valid Class "C" non-commercial driver's license with no more than three (3) points acceptable for job entry but must obtain a valid Class “A” CDL license with “O” restriction and air brake and tank vehicle endorsements within six (6) months of appointment to position.
Flagging Certification within six (6) months of hire (Required);
Chainsaw Safety Certification within six (6) months of hire date (Required);
Tree Trimming Certification within six (6) months of hire date (Required);
Forklift Operator's Certification within six (6) months of hire date (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of geography in and around Harford County, or ability to obtain knowledge
- Knowledge of methods and techniques of general maintenance work
- Basic computer skills with the ability to utilize software, hardware and communication devices to perform tasks
- Ability to operate basic hand tools and maintain tools, ability to perform minor maintenance on buildings, equipment and grounds
- Ability to follow and execute tasks based on directions communicated in a variety of ways, including ability to interpret Standard Operating Produces
SAFETY:
Must comply with all Federal (OSHA), State of Maryland (MOSH), safety regulations, and applicable Harford County safety
