Responsibilities
- Assess residents to determine OT needs and develop individualized treatment plans aimed at improving activities of daily living, upper-extremity function, mobility, and cognitive skills as appropriate.
- Implement, adjust, and document therapy interventions and progress toward established goals.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, discharge planning, and transitions of care.
- Reassess residents regularly, modify goals as needed, and communicate progress to supervisors, families, and care teams.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and facility policies.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active OT license to practice in the United States
- 1+ year of OT experience in rehabilitation, with geriatric or long-term care exposure preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a travel assignment and adapt to a new setting and team
