Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) - OBGYN Clinic (2264)

Job Summary -
A health care provider that works, collaboratively within a health care team and is responsible for providing comprehensive care to both well and ill patients. The nurse practitioner educates patients and/or their families in order to promote wellness, prevent health problems, maintain current health and intervene in acute or chronic illness. The nurse practitioner seeks opportunities for professional growth through participation in continuing education and staff development.

Mainly supporting OBGYN Clinic, but may need to float to other locations and specialties.

Regulatory Requirements

• Current State Nursing licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Certified Nurse Practitioner for State of Ohio required.
• DEA required.
• ACLS and/or PALS may be required.  Requirements vary by department.

Language Skills

• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Additional languages preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Skills

• Ability to assess patients quickly.
• Critical thinking skills a must.
