Associate Scientist - GC Technologies

This role is instrumental in advancing Restek’s growth goals by delivering new technologies, improving existing products, and driving scientific excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research to explore new products, technologies, and processes, while identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
• Perform experiments, utilizing advanced analytical methods and tools to develop and refine prototypes and materials for new and existing products.
• Produce GC Columns in support of the new product development and basic research.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to successfully transfer new products into production, ensuring processes are optimized for quality and efficiency.
• Champion safety and quality by following Restek’s Environmental Health and Safety guidelines and best practices in laboratory and production environments.
• Represent Restek’s core values of We Care, Better Every Day, Respect for All, and Win Together.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

The typical requirements of this role are a HS Diploma/GED plus three (3) years specialized training in a science-related technology, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to plan, conduct, and document experiments with minimal supervision.
• A collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• A passion for science and problem-solving, with a focus on creating practical, high-quality solutions.
• Experience with chemical safety, composition, and properties, as well as proper material handling procedures.
• Commitment to continuous learning, adaptability, and contributing to a positive, team-oriented workplace.

This position will require the successful completion of a standard background check in accordance with Restek policy. Employment with Restek will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
