The Opportunity

Premier Therapy is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Bellefonte, PA to help residents build skills for safer, more independent daily living. In this onsite role, you’ll partner with the supervising OT to deliver evidence-informed care and support measurable progress.

Key responsibilities include providing occupational therapy interventions, assisting with evaluations and goal tracking, creating and carrying out individualized treatment plans, communicating updates with the care team and families, and completing timely documentation in rehabilitation software.

Required qualifications/skills:
- Active Pennsylvania COTA license
- Working knowledge of OT assessments and interventions
- Experience with geriatric and/or long-term care populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to implement individualized therapy plans
- Proficiency with rehab documentation platforms

A Typical Shift

You’ll start by reviewing the day’s schedule and notes, then head to the floor to connect with residents where they are—often coordinating timing with nursing and other disciplines. Between sessions, you’ll document efficiently, check in with your supervising OT, and adjust the flow of the day as needs change. You’ll end your shift with chart completion, quick handoffs to teammates, and a clear plan for tomorrow.
