Welder
1st Shift: 7am - 430pm, M-F

Additional overtime available as business needs increase
Starting at $21.95 per hour

*Will be required to do a basic weld test during interview. (T-joint Horizontal Weld & Butt Joint Pipe Weld)*

Purpose of Role:

Our Welders are responsible for Mig welding, using spray arc transfer processes to weld pipes, cyclones, and other applications.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.

  • Inspects and measures machined work pieces to verify conformance to specifications.

  • Remove rough spots from work pieces, using portable grinders, hand files, or scrapers.

  • Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or power chippers, portable grinders, or arc-cutting equipment.

  • Weld components in flat and vertical welding positions.

  • Examines finished work pieces to verify conformance with specifications

  • Operate and maintain robotic welding equipment

  • Set up welding equipment and adjust settings as needed

  • Monitor the welding process to ensure quality and accuracy

  • Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment

  • Follow instructions and/or direction given by supervisors to complete assigned work projects

Requirements:

  • Proven experience Mig Welding with Spray Arc Transfer or Short Arc transfer Welding.

  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques and equipment

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding diagrams

  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills

  • Ability to proactively troubleshoot problems

  • Fabricating experience preferred

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment

  • Work as a team within department and with other departments and Leads

  • Ability to work scheduled hours and comply with the company policies

Required Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.

  • Physical capability to properly handle tooling and safely set up large pieces; including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products.

  • Must be able to stand, sit and bend in a normal welding shop.

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing environment: loud noise levels, high temperatures, dirt and sand.

  • Required PPE: steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, dust masks, and/or respirators.
