Job Description:
Associate Director of Product, Marketing Technology
At Chewy, we strive to be the most trusted and convenient online destination for pet parents and our partners – vets and service providers – alike. Our success is measured by the happiness of the people and pets we serve, not simply by the amount of pet supplies we deliver. That’s why we continue to think outside the Chewy box to delight, surprise, and thank our loyal pet lovers.
Our Opportunity:
Chewy is seeking an Associate Director of Product, Marketing Technology, based in Boston, MA or Bellevue, WA, to lead the vision and execution of the systems, data, and AI infrastructure that power our marketing engine. This leader will evolve Chewy’s marketing technology ecosystem to drive automation, optimization, and measurable performance across channels.
What You’ll Do:
- Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Chewy's marketing measurement products and platforms.
- Partner with Marketing Sciences, Engineering, Operations, and Analytics teams to translate advanced measurement methodologies into scalable, customer-centric product capabilities.
- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, from opportunity identification and discovery through delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement.
- Prioritize and deliver capabilities that enable Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), attribution, incrementality testing, and other modern measurement approaches to be operationalized through reusable platforms.
- Develop detailed product requirements and work closely with engineering teams to build scalable, reliable, and high-performing technical solutions.
- Drive alignment across cross-functional stakeholders by balancing business priorities, technical feasibility, and customer needs while communicating product strategy and execution plans effectively.
- Define success metrics, monitor product performance, and leverage quantitative and qualitative insights to continuously improve measurement capabilities and user experiences.
- Champion platform thinking by building reusable, extensible solutions that reduce manual effort, improve automation, and accelerate decision-making across marketing teams.
- Stay informed on emerging trends in marketing technology, advertising technology, and measurement innovation to continuously evolve Chewy's product strategy.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field; an advanced degree (MS or MBA) is preferred.
- 8+ years of experience across marketing technology, product or platform management, or adtech/data systems within high-growth, eCommerce, or performance marketing environments.
- Deep understanding of modern marketing measurement methodologies, including Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), attribution, incrementality testing, and marketing performance measurement.
- Proven success building or scaling martech or adtech platforms that drive measurable performance through data and automation.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, combining emotional intelligence with analytical depth to inspire, influence, and drive clarity across technical and business teams.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate technology innovation into business growth and operational efficiency.
