This leadership role is responsible for managing billing, accounts receivable, insurance verification, resident trust accounts, collections, and financial documentation to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement. The BOM plays a key role in supporting facility operations, maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations, and ensuring excellent communication with residents, families, and third-party payers. Reporting: This position reports directly to the Administrator and works closely with the corporate billing team, admissions department, and clinical leadership. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the business office including billing, accounts receivable, and collections Ensure accurate and timely billing for Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and Private Pay residents Manage insurance verification and payer authorization processes Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances Supervise and support Business Office staff and administrative personnel Maintain resident trust accounts and ensure proper financial documentation Collaborate with admissions to review financial agreements and insurance coverage prior to admission Communicate with residents and families regarding billing, financial responsibilities, and statements Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, HIPAA, and facility financial policies Work closely with corporate billing and leadership to ensure accurate reimbursement and reporting Maintain organized records and documentation in EMR and accounting systems What We’re Looking ForEducation Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred Experience Minimum 2–3 years of business office, billing, or accounts receivable experience Skilled Nursing Facility or healthcare billing experience strongly preferred Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred Qualifications & Skills Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and insurance billing processes Experience with accounts receivable management and collections follow-up Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in EMR systems, billing software, and Microsoft Office Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Physical & Working Conditions Skilled Nursing Facility environment Primarily office-based work Frequent sitting, typing, and phone communication Occasional interaction with residents, families, and insurance representatives How to Apply: Click Apply and complete the online application form.
