Driver/Material Handler

Job Summary:

The position requires the movement of parts, goods, and other merchandise from one location to another and the transport of materials, supplies, and finished products to designated locations.

- Driving will be on site & over the road - only 50% of the time

- Training in both warehouse operations (receiving & shipping) which will make up the other 50% of the time

- Must be willing to work in warehouse while driving is not needed

- Must be willing to drive forklift and skid steer (with training provided)

- Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:00pm

- Will be loading & unloading trucks themselves

- Incentive bonuses after 90 days of employment

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Plans and completes an efficient delivery and pick up route for the day.

· Loads delivery vehicle with parcels scheduled for delivery.

· Delivers parcels to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.

· Picks up parcels along the scheduled route, including items to be returned, company orders, and other items as requested.

· Receives, distributes, and stores products as directed in designated, secure locations.

· Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information.

· Reviews shipments for quality and accuracy; reviews accompanying documents for accuracy.

· Confirms shipping details or special instructions; expedites shipments that affect the manufacturing process schedule.

· Transports and loads materials, supplies, and finished goods (manually and/or using hand trucks, skid steerer and skids).

· Maintains basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made.

· Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor.

· Assists in general warehouse duties when delivery route is completed.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Ability to drive safely.

· Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.

· Ability to plan delivery routes.

· Ability to maintain basic logs and records.

· Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.

· Able to remain professional and courteous at all times.

Education and Experience:

· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

. Valid CDL license required.

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

· Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather.

Job Type: Full-time & in person

Pay: $19.00 per hour
