Position Summary...
Walmart is seeking an exceptional, enterprise-level product leader to define and drive the strategy globally for Marketplace Returns & Cancellations, Front Door Commerce, and Cross Border expansion. This role owns a critical portfolio of customer-facing products that shape the post-purchase journey and enable new commerce experiences across Walmart.As a Group Director within Marketplace Product, you will establish the long-term vision, product strategy, and operating model across multiple product domains that influence customer trust, seller success, operational excellence, and Marketplace growth. You will lead a portfolio of products and high-performing product leaders while partnering with executives across Marketplace, eCommerce, Last Mile, Stores, Customer Care, and Engineering to build scalable platforms that redefine how customers shop, receive, modify, and complete their orders.
This leader will identify new opportunities at the intersection of retail, convenience, and digital commerce—from creating effortless returns, reducing cancellations to enabling innovative Front Door Commerce experiences and expanding Marketplace globally.
What you'll do...
- Define the long-term vision and strategy for Marketplace Returns & Cancellations, Front Door Commerce, and emerging commerce experiences that drive customer loyalty, Marketplace growth, and competitive differentiation.Â
- Lead a strategic product portfolio spanning multiple customer experiences, platforms, and product teams, ensuring investments align with enterprise priorities and long-range business objectives.Â
- Transform the post-purchase experience by simplifying returns, cancellations, order management, and customer communications while balancing customer satisfaction, seller experience, and operational efficiency.Â
- Drive innovation in emerging commerce by developing new customer experiences—including Front Door Commerce that expand Walmart's digital ecosystem and create differentiated shopping experiences.Â
- Lead organization-wide product execution by coaching and developing product leaders, establishing product operating mechanisms, and ensuring high-quality execution across multiple roadmaps.Â
- Influence enterprise strategy by partnering with executive leadership across Product, Engineering, Operations, Stores, Marketplace, Finance, Customer Care, and external partners to define priorities, resolve trade-offs, and guide investment decisions.Â
- Deliver measurable business outcomes by improving customer satisfaction, repeat purchase behavior, Marketplace conversion, operational efficiency, and long-term platform health.Â
- Build scalable product platforms that enable future commerce capabilities while reducing operational complexity and creating reusable capabilities across Walmart's ecosystem.Â
- Champion customer obsession and data-driven decision making through deep customer insights, experimentation, analytics, and emerging technologies, including AI-driven automation and personalization.Â
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale product organizations and defining long-term product strategy across multiple teams and product domains.Â
- Experience building customer-facing digital products within Marketplace, eCommerce, retail technology, omnichannel commerce, or adjacent industries.Â
- Proven ability to influence executive leadership and drive alignment across large, highly matrixed organizations.Â
- Strong business and financial acumen with experience translating product investments into measurable business outcomes.Â
- Deep experience partnering with engineering, design, analytics, and operations organizations to build scalable technology platforms.Â
- Passion for solving complex customer problems while balancing customer experience, operational excellence, and business performance.Â
- Exceptional organizational leadership with experience hiring, developing, and mentoring senior product managers and product leaders.Â
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and make high-impact decisions.Â
- Experience leading Marketplace or omnichannel commerce platforms at enterprise scale.Â
- Experience in customer experience, post-purchase products, returns, cancellations, order management, or digital commerce.Â
- Experience building platform products that support multiple lines of business and customer journeys.Â
- Experience partnering across retail operations, last-mile delivery, or digital commerce ecosystems.Â
- Familiarity with AI/ML applications that improve customer experiences, automation, and operational efficiency.Â
- Advanced degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.Â
- Option 1:Â Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related area and 15 years' experience in product management.Â
- Option 2: 17 years' experience in product management or related area.Â

The annual salary range for this position is $234,000.00 - $444,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
