Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Controls Engineer to join our Data Center Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational integrity and reliability of critical data center infrastructure systems that power the world's largest cloud computing platform.

Key job responsibilities
- Operate and maintain critical data center infrastructure including electrical, mechanical, and control systems to ensure maximum uptime and availability
- Perform root cause analysis on infrastructure failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all data center critical systems
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and construction teams to support capacity delivery and infrastructure improvements
- Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) and emergency operating procedures (EOPs) for infrastructure systems
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, efficiency, and safety across the data center portfolio
- Support commissioning and validation activities for new infrastructure deployments and upgrades
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing

Basic Qualifications: - 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities experience
- Experience in commissioning Preferred Qualifications: - Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production
- Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents
- 5+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities experience
- Bachelor's degree

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
