JOB OVERVIEWThe Product Manager, Billing Transformation is accountable for Billing Transformation as a business capability within T-Mobile for Business — responsible for ensuring TFB customers are billed accurately, efficiently, and on time across every segment we serve. This role exists because billing is not a platform problem. It is an end-to-end business process that begins the moment an order is placed and doesn't close until payment is collected. Every step in between — how a product is ordered, how it is provisioned, how it is rated, how entitlements are structured, and how invoices are generated — has the potential to delay or disrupt the billing outcome.
TFB serves a diverse customer base across enterprise, mid-market, small business, government, and wholesale segments. Each segment carries distinct billing structures, contract terms, invoicing requirements, and payment cycles. This PM will understand how T-Mobile for Business bills customers in each of these segments — not at a surface level, but deeply enough to identify where ordering decisions, rate plan configurations, provisioning gaps, or entitlement errors are creating downstream billing failures specific to that segment.
This role is responsible for the billing capability roadmap and serves as the connective tissue across the full order-to-cash ecosystem — partnering with platform owners across Ordering, Provisioning, Rate Plans & Offers, Contracts & Entitlements, and Billing Integration to identify upstream root causes of billing failures and drive resolution, even when the fix lives outside the billing platforms directly owned. They are not a passive recipient of upstream output; they are an active driver of ecosystem health from order to cash.
The right candidate brings direct T-Mobile for Business experience, a working understanding of how TFB billing operates across customer segments and the full order-to-cash chain, and the ability to lead discovery and requirements work without dedicated BA support. They are deeply comfortable partnering with IT on technical feasibility, delivery lifecycle, and release execution, and they think in outcomes — not features.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Billing Capability & Ecosystem Thinking — understands billing as a downstream outcome of the full order-to-cash chain, with working knowledge of how each stage impacts billing across TFB customer segments.
- TFB Segment Billing Knowledge — understands how TFB bills across enterprise, mid-market, SMB, government, and wholesale, including the billing structures and failure modes unique to each.
- Discovery & Requirements — leads sessions and produces requirements without BA support in complex, cross-platform environments.
- Strong cross-functional alignment across business and technology partners, including influence across portfolios outside direct ownership.
- Agile Methodology — fluent in sprint-based delivery and backlog management.
- Data Analysis & Business Acumen — identifies billing patterns, sizes ecosystem impact, and frames decisions in terms of revenue and customer outcome.
- Product Management — end-to-end ownership mentality from order placement through payment collection.
Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- AI & Automation Tooling — applies AI tools to accelerate discovery, synthesis, and documentation.
- Order-to-Cash Operations Knowledge — familiarity with how ordering, provisioning, entitlement, and billing systems interact in a B2B telecom environment.
- Collaborative Leadership — influences without authority across IT and business partner teams.
- Hands-on experience with Samson, Control Center, and/or ET Platform billing systems.
- Familiarity with TFB ordering, provisioning, or entitlement management platforms and how they feed downstream billing.
- Background in B2B/enterprise order-to-cash operations, including billing exception handling and manual intervention root causes.
Required Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 3 years of related experience
- 4-7 years Relevant Product Management experience in an agile software product development environment.
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
