We are looking for a results-driven and innovative Program Manager to support the end-to-end product lifecycle for Amazon’s safety management system. You will contribute to goal-setting, intake, prioritization, requirements gathering, launch, and training support for the WHS organization. You will collaborate closely with customers and stakeholders to develop and launch effective solutions addressing their needs, and design effective communication mechanisms to keep stakeholders informed about priorities, progress, risks, and strategy. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with program management experience in complex operational and regulatory domains. The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills and demonstrate the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders across all organizational levels.

Key job responsibilities
• Strategic Planning and Vision: Contribute to the strategy and roadmap for Amazon’s safety management system, ensuring alignment with customer needs and organizational goals.
• Stakeholder and Customer Engagement: Manage stakeholder relationships across functions, effectively communicating vision and progress. Dive deep into customer feedback to understand pain points and drive solutions that meet their needs.
• Operational Excellence and Change Management: Implement effective change management strategies for product launches and iterations. Maintain high standards for operational excellence, ensuring efficient processes and clear communication channels.
• Performance Measurement and Quality Assurance: Use high judgment to test assumptions and validate product directions. Establish metrics to measure success and ensure continuous improvement based on quantitative and qualitative feedback.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Technical Product and Program Managers, engineering teams, and other cross-functional partners to ensure products are delivered with the right feature set and high quality, leveraging strong written and verbal communication skills to ensure alignment and collaboration.

A day in the life
On the Data Tech Systems (DTS) team, you keep the customer's voice at the center of everything we build for Amazon's safety management systems. You'll triage incoming intake requests — validating problems raised by WHS Program teams and deciding what merits a deep-dive. You'll author business requirements, translating customer pain points into clear specifications, and dive into data to build the evidence behind your recommendations. You'll align stakeholders and Leadership on priorities or trade-offs, partner with our AFT tech team through development, and facilitate user acceptance testing before launch. You'll close the loop through training, communications, and iterative improvement. It's a role at the intersection of customers, data, and technology.

About the team
Amazon Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) is a global organization focused on keeping Amazon Operations teams safe every day. Within WHS, the Data Tech Systems (DTS) team supports the end-to-end lifecycle of WHS safety platforms, AUSTIN, acting as the unifying voice of the customer. We translate the needs of WHS Programs, Field users, and leadership into prioritized requirements, then drive solutions from problem validation through launch, training, and iterative improvement. We're customer-obsessed, data-driven, and passionate about technology that directly/indirectly improves associate safety and health. Basic Qualifications: - 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field Preferred Qualifications: - 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience building scalable programs and repeatable scalable processes, levering various tools and methods to create scale and efficiency
- Experience working with technical and product stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and influence product roadmaps

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
