If you have spent your career installing or maintaining electrical systems on industrial equipment, you know exactly which wiring shortcuts, grounding omissions, and termination errors cause the failures maintenance teams live with for years. This role puts that knowledge at the front of the equipment lifecycle. You will develop the installation job plans that define how Amazon's material handling equipment gets wired, terminated, grounded, and energized, preventing reliability and safety problems before the equipment ever runs its first package.
You will own electrical installation quality end-to-end: authoring installation job plans and standards, validating contractor execution against them, and driving continuous improvement as system complexity scales.
Key job responsibilities

• Author and maintain electrical installation standards and pre-turnover punch list criteria for all OMHS equipment types, ensuring alignment with industry and Amazon-specific requirements
• Apply failure mode knowledge from equipment service history to identify the installation practices that drive long-term electrical reliability, and build them into job plans
• Audit electrical installation work in the field and identify deficiencies, document findings, and drive corrective action to closure
• Partner with site installation teams to interpret electrical drawings, resolve field routing and termination issues, and validate compliance with specifications and code requirements
• Collaborate with the rest of the team to create integrated system acceptance packages
• Analyze early-life electrical failures to identify systemic installation quality gaps and feed corrections back into job plans and standards
• Create training content for field supervisors and installation crews on electrical installation quality expectations and code compliance.
