What you'll do...

As a Staff Product Manager at Walmart, you will lead strategy and execution for complex products, driving end-to-end outcomes from discovery through value realization. This role requires deep customer and technical insight, strong stakeholder leadership, and the ability to define product vision, roadmaps, and go-to-market strategies. You will collaborate cross-functionally to deliver measurable business impact, leveraging data-driven decision making and emerging technologies. Additionally, you will mentor peers and influence product direction while ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals and operational excellence.
  About the team:
The team leads the Marketplace Returns Fraud, Abuse & Disputes product area, driving over $500M in business impact through fraud prevention, abuse detection, dispute automation, and operational efficiency. Collaborating across four business units and eight cross-functional teams—including engineering, data science, operations, finance, and business partners—this group builds scalable platform capabilities that reduce refund leakage, lower costs, and enhance trust. The team focuses on strategic alignment, data-driven decision making, and delivering reusable services that support Walmart Marketplace’s growth while balancing customer and seller experience with financial outcomes.
  What you'll do:
  • Define and execute multi-quarter product vision and strategy for complex or related products, aligning with business goals.
  • Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management, including discovery, roadmap development, launch readiness, and value realization.
  • Build deep customer and market insights using data analysis, design thinking, and feedback mechanisms to prioritize product initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Analytics, and Business partners to drive product delivery and innovation.
  • Mentor and guide product managers on best practices, trade-offs, and customer-centric approaches.
  • Utilize data-driven decision making and experimentation to validate assumptions and optimize product outcomes.
  • Influence technical direction and identify opportunities for emerging technologies and automation.

What you'll bring:
  • Proven experience leading product strategy and managing roadmaps for complex or related products.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Expertise in data-driven decision making, including advanced analytics and experimentation to guide product direction.
  • Deep understanding of customer needs through structured research, journey mapping, and feedback synthesis.
  • Ability to define clear product vision, KPIs, and trade-offs aligned with business outcomes.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and their application in product innovation.
  • Demonstrated mentorship capabilities for developing less experienced product managers.

The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00 - $264,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
