Primary Functions: The Tutor is responsible for providing tutoring sessions via Zoom or in-person to assist students in achieving academic success. 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Facilitate academic success by offering tutoring sessions to clarify course concepts, review class materials, discuss textbook content, and work through practice problems.
  • Conduct tutoring sessions either in person or via Zoom, on a scheduled or as-needed basis.
  • Assist with day-to-day tutoring operations while working independently under minimal supervision.

 

Marginal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as requested. 

 

Qualifications/Skills: 

  • Must be able to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of one or more of math-focused business courses.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. 
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build strong relationships through clear and tactful communication. 
  • Sound judgment and the ability to resolve problems independently or seek managerial assistance as needed. 
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive student information. 
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. 
  • Strong organizational skills and a commitment to student success. 

 

Working Environment: 

  • Works in a normal office environment.
