Job DetailsJob Location: Bellevue, WA 98007Salary Range: $20.00 - $30.00 HourlyRehab Tech Job Description     Job Title: Rehabilitation Technician (Rehab Tech)    Position Summary    The Rehabilitation Technician supports the therapy team (PT, OT, and SLP) in providing high-quality care to residents in a skilled nursing facility. This role assists with non-clinical and delegated support tasks that improve therapy workflow, resident experience, and department efficiency.    The Rehab Tech helps prepare treatment areas, transport residents, maintain equipment, support scheduling/coordination, and assist therapists with routine tasks within scope and under appropriate supervision.    Key Responsibilities    Resident Support & Therapy Flow  Assist with transporting residents to and from therapy sessions safely and efficiently  Help set up residents for therapy sessions as directed by licensed therapy staff  Support smooth transitions between treatment sessions to maximize therapy efficiency  Assist with pre-scheduled group therapy logistics by coordinating resident readiness, communicating with nursing/unit staff, and transporting residents to the therapy gym to support timely group start times.  Support therapists with non-clinical group set-up tasks (e.g., seating, equipment set-up, gathering supplies) for pre-scheduled groups as directed.  Promote a positive, respectful, and encouraging environment for residents    Department & Equipment Support  Prepare treatment areas and therapy supplies/equipment before sessions  Clean and sanitize therapy equipment and treatment spaces per facility infection control standards  Monitor therapy gym organization and restock routine supplies  Report damaged or missing equipment/supplies to therapy leadership    Administrative / Operational Support  Assist with therapy scheduling coordination and communication with nursing/unit staff  Support tracking logs, departmental forms, and other non-clinical documentation tasks as assigned  Help with printing, filing, scanning, and organizing therapy-related paperwork  Communicate resident availability barriers (meals, nursing care, appointments, etc.) to therapy staff    Team Collaboration  Work closely with PT/OT/SLP staff, assistants, nursing, and front-line facility staff  Follow therapist instructions and facility policies regarding resident handling and safety  Participate in department meetings/in-services as requested  Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all residents and team interactions    Qualifications    Required  High school diploma or equivalent  Strong communication and interpersonal skills  Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment  Ability to follow directions, prioritize & execute tasks  Basic computer skills (email, scheduling systems, documentation support)  Ability to maintain resident confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)  CNA (certified nursing assistant) training strongly preferred   Preferred  Prior experience in a healthcare, rehab, SNF, or patient care setting  Experience working with older adults  CPR/BLS certification (if required by facility/company policy)    Skills & Competencies  Teamwork and collaboration  Time management and organization  Customer service / resident-centered approach  Reliability and attention to detail  Adaptability and initiative  Professional communication with interdisciplinary team members    Physical Requirements  Frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, and pushing/pulling equipment/wheelchairs  Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.  Ability to assist with resident transport and mobility tasks within role expectations  Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds with/with equipment.   Ability to work in a clinical environment with exposure to typical healthcare conditions such as COVID, C-DIFF, and Nora Virus etc.   Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position   Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility which includes an annual TB screening and physical examination.    ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS  Inside work, normal temperatures, some noise, occasional fumes/odors, chemical exposure and potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.  This job cannot be performed without exposure to the stresses associated with an intimate, 24-hour skilled care environment that delivers care and services primarily to disabled and cognitively impaired residents in an aging population. Examples of these stresses include, but are not limited to: emergency health or safety response, weekend and holiday duty, unusual or impaired behavior by residents, family reactions to having a loved one in a nursing home, death and dying, oversight of state surveyors, ombudsmen and federal officials, presence of consultants and attorneys, and variable involvement of medical staff.  Personnel at every level must follow HIPAA rules and regulations.
