Saturna Capital is seeking an Investor Services Supervisor to provide leadership and oversight for the Investor Services team while ensuring exceptional client service and strong operational controls. This role is responsible for daily workflow management, staff development, and maintaining a robust risk and control framework across client service, transaction processing, and account maintenance activities. The successful candidate will be a proactive, hands-on leader who takes full ownership of departmental performance, drives process efficiencies, and collaborates cross functionally with Compliance, Legal, Operations, and other departments to support consistent, high-quality service delivery.
 
Location: Bellingham, WA – on site 
Compensation: $80,000 – 120,000 DOE 
 
Primary duties include: 
- Provide day‑to‑day leadership, direction, and support to the Investor Services team.
- Oversee training, evaluate staffproficiency, and assess ongoing staffing needs to ensureappropriate coverageand service levels.
- Ensure coverage of the department and all departmental tasks, including client service, transaction processing, and account maintenance.
- Approve new brokerage accounts and oversee related documentation and compliance requirements.
- Participate in the client service queue as needed to meet service standards and support team workload.
- Research, train, and implement industry changes whilemaintainingand enhancing operations standards and procedures.
- Coordinate with other departmentsregardingaudits, time off planning, and cross‑training initiatives.
- Ensure the Business Continuity Plan for Investor Services is current, functional, and tested asappropriate.
- Review work output and documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to policies.
- Problem‑solve complex or troubled accounts and provide the team with escalated issue resolution support.
- Review vendors as needed to confirm services arerequired, effective, and aligned with business needs.
- Manage user access and log‑ins for vendor and internal systems within the department.
- Partner with other operations managers to scope, prioritize, and manage timelines for departmental and cross‑functional projects.
- Sign operational documents and approvals asrequiredforSaturnaOperations.
- Ensure applicable regulatory filings and operational obligations are completed accurately and on time.
Requirements: 
- Demonstrated ability toidentifyand resolve complex operational and client issues.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of customers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of financial products and personal finance, andproficiencywith Investor Services departmental processes.
- Proven ability to motivate, develop, and lead a team in a high‑volume, service‑oriented environment.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics in clear, simple terms.
- Excellent computer skills, including the ability to learn new systems quickly; strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills; familiarity with MacOS preferred.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills with the ability to apply rules consistently across varying situations.
- Ability to successfully complete pre‑employment requirements such as a logic test, background and credit check, and reference check.
Education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong leadership and communication skills witha track recordof leading teams in financial services.
- 7–10 years ofcustomer service andmanagerial experience with a financial institution.
- Medallion program completion preferred.
- Notary commission preferred.
- Obtain FINRA SIE, Series 7, Series 63,and Series 24 within first 9 months of employment
