Scheduled hours are 7:30am-3:00pm for day shifts and 1:30pm-10:00pm for evening shifts. Compensation: The full wage scale is $25.75 - $35.45 per hour. We also offer a $3.00 per hour shift differential for eligible evening and weekend hours. Placement within the wage range is determined by the candidate’s relevant experience. Additional Benefits: Eligibility for FCN applicable bonuses Job Summary Under the supervision of the Laboratory Services Manager and in conjunction with the medical technologists, performs test analysis on patient specimens including blood, urine, culture samples and other body fluids. Performs test analysis on quality control samples, proficiency samples and performs equipment maintenance. Performs all duties in a manner that promotes and supports the Core Values of Family Care Network. Essential Job Functions Performs test analysis on patient specimens. Performs and evaluates analysis of quality control, proficiency specimens, and patient specimens Maintains and troubleshoots equipment. Consistently meets expected turnaround times. Consistently leaves work area clean, organized and ready for the next shift. Identifies unexpected results, errors and problems and follows up. Communicates with physicians, AHPs, managers, clinical staff and processors as appropriate. Participates in department process improvement work. Adheres to assigned work schedule (attendance and punctuality). Ensures timely renewal of required certifications. Additional duties as assigned.  Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Applies universal safety precautions. Responds quickly and handles multiple deadlines and priorities. Proven verbal and written communication skills. Works independently. Works alternates shifts when necessary. Performs the physical/functional requirements of the position. We have 12 clinics and 3 urgent care centers in Whatcom and Skagit County, in a beautiful corner of northwest Washington where the mountains meet the sea.   Requisition: 42148 QualificationsEducation & Experience: Associate Degree, Medical Laboratory Technician or in related health sciences  Must be ASCP or equivalently licensed as a Medical Laboratory Technician Medical laboratory experience preferred. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to: climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch.  Employee is regularly required to: stand; walk and sit for long periods of time; use hand to finger coordination, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.  The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, the ability to adjust and focus and discern colors.  Immunization Requirements: Employees are required to meet immunization standards in accordance with federal, state, and organizational health and safety guidelines, as applicable to the role.
