Job Description Summary:

The Medical Records Coordinator is responsible for assembling patient information into patients’ medical records accurately and completely. Responsible for chart migration and administrative support.

Job Requirements, Prerequisites and Essential Functions:

Pay Range:
$22.50 - $27.00 - $31.50

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 

Responsibilities

  • Scan records into the chart
  • Filing into the EMR system.
  • Prioritizing daily tasks, and responding in a timely fashion to urgent requests.
  • Completes tasks correctly and accurately with attention to detail.
  • Confidentially maintains information.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Experience with EPIC/APEX
  • Must have good interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and positively, written, verbal, and via multi-lined telephone system
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instruction
  • Possess excellent typing/keyboarding skills; knowledge of computer systems and applications.

               

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate required. 

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of Healthcare Administration experience

Compensation:

The posted pay range complies with applicable law and reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. Individual pay is set by skills, experience, qualifications, and internal/market equity, consistent with MarinHealth’s compensation philosophy. Positions covered by collective bargaining agreements are governed by those agreements.
