Quality Technician

This position is located On-site in our Bellingham, WA location.

Birdon is seeking a highly detail-oriented and skilled Quality Technician to join our team and ensure the precision and compliance of our products. As a Quality Technician you will play a critical role in maintaining quality standards by conducting measurements, inspections, and analyses of components and assemblies.

This is a hands-on position that requires close and effective working relationship with manufacturing, engineering, assembly & test, project management, administration, purchasing and warehousing.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Receive, review, and verify incoming materials, parts, and components against purchase orders, drawings, specifications, and quality requirements; accurately enter inspection results and related information into the ERP system to support traceability and inventory control.

Perform dimensional and mechanical inspections on components, assemblies, and finished products using appropriate inspection tools and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring devices; confirm compliance with drawings, specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements.

Maintain accurate inspection records, quality documentation, material certifications, and traceability records; ensure documentation is complete, organized, and available to support internal processes, customer requirements, and regulatory or contract compliance.

Identify, document, and communicate suspected nonconforming materials, parts, or processes; support containment activities, assist with nonconformance reporting, and work with quality, engineering, and manufacturing teams to help resolve quality issues.

Support internal audits, process checks, and Quality Management System activities by following established procedures, collecting objective evidence, and helping ensure compliance with company, customer, and applicable quality standards.

Collaborate effectively with manufacturing, engineering, assembly and test, project management, purchasing, warehousing, and administrative teams; maintain a clean and safe work area, follow company safety and quality procedures, and perform other related duties as assigned.
