Job Description:

The Compliance Auditor is responsible for ensuring the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) adheres to AS9100/AS9110 standards and aerospace industry requirements. This role involves planning, organizing, and conducting internal audits across the Waco, TX site to assess the effectiveness of processes, systems, and the adherence to regulatory requirements. The auditor will evaluate the degree of compliance, identify risks, non-conformances, recommend corrective actions, and report audit findings to management. The auditor works closely with management and cross functional teams to maintain and continuously improve QMS processes while ensuring our readiness for external certification audits.     

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance
  • Review documentation including policies, procedures, work instructions, and records
  • Create an audit plan defining scope, criteria, and resources required for the audit.
  • Conduct interviews with employees at various levels to gather information on the processes and adherence to standards.
  • Ability to conduct effective and efficient audits at the location of the work being performed.  In office areas, manufacturing and special processing environments, aircraft hangars, inside aircraft, flightline, and other areas within the scope of the QMS.
  • Determine compliance, non-compliance, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare audit reports summarizing audit results.
  • Ability to wear required PPE and adhere to the company safety policy (safety glasses, hearing protection, safety toed shoes, etc.)

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • AS9100 and/or AS9110 Lead Auditor certification from an accredited training provider
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and perform analysis using quality tools

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with additional aerospace standards (AS9101, AS9104, etc.)
  • Familiar with EtQ Reliance System
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Solumina, etc.)
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • Ability to access ITAR controlled items and/or articles
