Job Description:
The Inventory Management Supportposition plays a crucial role in maintaining stock accuracy, streamlining supply chain workflows, and preventing costly operational disruptions like stock outs or overstock.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks supporting the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
- Prepare and maintain records of shipped products and track shipments.
- Receive incoming materials, unpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices.
- Verify quantity, weight, and condition of materials to stated identification.
- Maintain record of received goods, processes freight bills, packing sheets and other documents.
- Stock and distribute materials in inventory and on receiving line.
- Lift heavy items and operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, scissor lifts and forklifts upon receipt of internal certification.
- Knowledge of material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety Requirements.
- May perform crate shop functions such as operating power saws and nail guns in building skids and crates.
- Quality conscious with accurate counting ability for inventory compliance.
- On-Call availability. Must be able to report within 1 hour.
- Able to meet short notice travel requirements.
- Able to meet short or no notice overtime requirements
- Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Able to work any shift and overtime when needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
- Able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience in aircraft.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with engineers, customers, and other maintenance staff.
