Food Safety Technician 2nd Shift

Overview

The Pictsweet Company is looking for a Food Safety Technician to join our vegetable processing facility in Bells, TN. This role's shift time is 4PM-2AM, some weekends required.

Responsibilities

• Perform metal detector checks for functionality
• Monitor and record foreign material findings from assigned lines.
• Learn how to react to “non-standard” situations.
• Perform Sanitation Pre-op Inspections (ATP / Allergen / Other Swabs).
• Perform GMP Inspections during production.
• Communicate all pertinent information to direct supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience:

• Experience in food quality control or related field preferred.
• Familiarity with HACCP, GMP and statistical analysis preferred.

Cognitive & Psychological:

• Must be able to read and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Must be able to perform basic mathematical computations including fractions and decimals.

Physical:

• Must be able to work in cold (35-40 degrees) or hot environment for extended period.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, bend, reach, and walk for extended periods.
• Able to use both hands.

Other:

• Must be willing to work extended hours as needed (including weekends and holidays).
