MaxCare Health & Residential Services has six residential group homes offering nursing services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who have complex medical needs. We have a great work environment and an experienced management team. Shifts available: 

Full-time

• 7:00am - 3:00pm
• 3:00pm - 11:00pm
• 11:00pm - 7:00am

Part-time

• 3:00pm - 11:00pm
• 11:00pm - 7:00am
• Every Other Weekend all shifts

Basic Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care for individuals with intellectual disabilities
• Provide basic patient care and treatment in collaboration with the Direct Support Professional /CNA
• Educate and update patients on medical treatments
• Daily documentation of services provided and progress towards goals
• Collaborate with an RN to administer prescribed medications and coordinate services as applicable

Minimum Qualifications:

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Virginia
• Current CPR certification preferred
• Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred
• Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
• Ability to build rapport with patients, families, state officials, and peers
• Compassionate and caring demeanor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
