New Jersey Resources is seeking an experienced IT Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing and category management for technology and professional services. Â Identify and support strategies for a portfolio of technology and professional services spend categories through a variety of procurement tools and practices.
Major Responsibilities
•   Manage the sourcing life cycle for initiatives, defining scope and requirements with Subject Matter Expert (SME) teams to lead the competitive bidding (RFx) process, including vendor evaluation and negotiation of pricing and contract terms.
•   Apply industry expertise and best practices to design and implement category strategies and sourcing initiatives, including spend and market analysis, requirements gathering and stakeholder management.
•   Ensure established category strategies are aligned with business goals.
•   Build and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders and internal clients.
•   Champion continuous operational improvement initiatives  and procurement best practices.
•   Support procurement systems and tools, including but not limited to contract and third-party vendor management and reporting.
Position Requirements:
•   Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, finance, engineering or equivalent combination of work experience and  education.
•   7+ years of relevant procurement experience, energy industry experience a plus.
•   Proven experience in sourcing and contract negotiation for IT hardware, software, SaaS, consulting and professional services
•   Experience with ERP/P2P systems, reporting, process design and continuous improvement preferred/
•   Subject matter expertise in spend and analysis, RFX development and evaluation, and contract management.
•   Strong analytical skills to interpret data, benchmark performance, identify trends and patterns, and provide actionable recommendations.
•   Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and to prioritize work
•   Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to develop and deliver clear, concise, and persuasive communications and presentations to senior-level audiences.
•   Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with ability to clearly communicate the value of strategic sourcing to stakeholders.
•   Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external partnerships to achieve business objectives.
•   Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Visio.

Other Details:
Compensation: Expected base pay range for this role will be $115,900- $147,700.
Base pay is based on several factors including, experience, skills, and knowledge.
This role will be eligible to participate in an annual short term incentive program.
