H2M architects + engineers, a multidisciplinary architectural, engineering, and environmental consulting firm, has an opening for a Staff Electrical Engineer in our MEP Discipline. This position will be an excellent opportunity for a new college graduate who is interested in electrical design engineering and looking for a strong learning environment to develop design knowledge, project management skills, and assist in building client relationships.
Job Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of Senior Engineers and Project Managers, this candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Perform design, computations, and evaluations associated with the design and construction administration of power distribution, emergency generators, I&C systems, fire alarms, CCTV systems, and lighting design.Â
- Conduct project administration, including gathering information, writing reports, drafting proposals, drafting correspondence, tracking project costs, and completing progress reports.Â
- Coordinate with other engineering and architecture departments within the firm, including client interaction and teamwork with other disciplines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required. A concentration in Power Systems is preferred.
- 0 to 4 years of MEP design experience in a consulting environment [design build]; internship experience is a plus.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- EIT/PE is highly desired.
The salary range for this role is $72,500 - $95,000 annually.
