SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Examples of key duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature.
  • Ensure proper "switch" times for full vendor vehicles/trucks
  • Train new shipping employees.
  • Ensure proper charging of all tow motors.
  • Organize the shipping of orders.
  • Check the quality of the product to be shipped out to customers.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and office.
  • Ensure efficient operation of the shipping department when the Production Supervisor is not available.
  • Is knowledgeable of specific customer instructions.
  • Read, use, and complete shipping efficiency reports.
EXPERIENCE
  • Must have previous manufacturing and/or warehouse experience.
EDUCATION
  • High school graduate or GED equivalency required.
SKILLS
  • Read, write, and speak English
  • Strong math skills.
  • Ability to learn and operate computer according to company programs.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and self-directed with little Supervision
  • Good organizational and communicational skills.
  • Safe operation of all warehouse equipment including tow motor, computer, calculator, scales, battery chargers, copier, telephone, and plastic wrap machine.
  • Read and use work order pick lists.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions as assigned with customer orders.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with warehouse personal, plant operations and Logistics personal. 

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Microsoft Office
  • Microsoft 365
  • Experience with Logistics Management Systems (LMS) software platforms for warehouse operations.
  • Experience (Inbound / Outbound Freight Management) with Systems such as SAP, AS400, DatatexNow, and other applicable Systems.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE
  • Tow motor certified
  • AS400
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Able to withstand changing climates (temperatures range from 85 degrees to -20 degrees)

  • Internal: Warehouse, Receiving, Distribution, Department Managers and Supervisors, Plant Management, additional Warehouse associates
  • External: Outbound/Inbound freight appointments as assigned, Vendors as assigned
