About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced RD&A Senior Scientist to join our Coffee & Crystals® team. This role will focus on supporting coffee technology projects, including roasting, extraction, and vacuum dry processing. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, creativity, and a collaborative spirit to help drive innovation and deliver value to our customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and/or participate in Commercial Coffee & Crystals® projects.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Applications, Sales, and Marketing teams to support customer presentations and product development.
  • Provide technical support in roasting, extraction, and vacuum drying processes to enhance Kerry’s coffee and crystals offerings.
  • Participate in production trials, requiring flexibility and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Translate scientific insights into practical applications that meet customer and market needs.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in the food industry, preferably with a focus on coffee or beverage technologies.
  • Strong understanding of coffee processing technologies including roasting, extraction, and drying.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel for production trials and customer engagements.

 

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience with commercial coffee product development.
  • Familiarity with vacuum drying and crystal formation processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and deliver results.

 

The pay range for this position is $75,602 - $123,432 in Annual Salary.  Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role.  Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.  Kerry offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, Employee Share Plan, Life, disability, and accident insurance, and tuition reimbursement.  This job posting is anticipated to expire on June 30th, 2026.
