About the role

This Reliability Engineering Lead - Food role can be remote based; however, strong preference will be given to candidates who are based out of or close to one of Kerry plant locations located in Wisconsin, Illinois or Minnesota OR willing to relocate to one of the locations.Ā  This role reports to the Director of Engineering. Travel (within USA 48 states) is expected to be 50% plus, to the various plants.

The role will lead improvements in asset reliability across a network of plants supporting Food businesses.

Key responsibilities

Ā 

The role will lead NA strategies and improvements in asset reliability across a network of plants supporting the Food businesses. Specifically,

ā€¢ā€ƒā€ƒDrive maintenance key performance indicators (KPI’s) – equipment downtime, preventive maintenance (PM), urgent work, etc.

ā€¢ā€ƒā€ƒProvide support to manufacturing sites to develop, optimize and implement industry maintenance standards such as PM programs, spare parts management, stock room management

ā€¢ā€ƒā€ƒCollaborate with sites to define asset criticality and reliability maintenance strategies

ā€¢ā€ƒā€ƒLead and support analysis of equipment and systems failures, using problem solving and continuous improvement tools such as RCA and DMAIC

ā€¢ā€ƒā€ƒSupport site capability building with assessment and evaluation of site maintenance staff, training and knowledge base.

Qualifications and skills

ā€¢ā€ƒā€ƒQualifications

ā€¢ā€ƒā€ƒBachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial or similar) is preferred but not mandatory

ā€¢ā€ƒā€ƒ10+ years of progressive experience in maintenance and/or reliability engineering 

ā€¢ā€ƒā€ƒFood, consumer goods, chemical, or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience preferred

ā€¢ā€ƒā€ƒComfortable working on the factory floor and as part of a decentralized regional team

ā€¢ā€ƒā€ƒDemonstrated experience and capability in maintenance, reliability engineering, data analysis and continuous improvement tools

ā€¢ā€ƒā€ƒSolid fundamentals in total productive maintenance (TPM)

ā€¢ā€ƒā€ƒKnowledge and practical experience in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

ā€¢ā€ƒā€ƒProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

ā€¢ā€ƒā€ƒStrong planning skills, and the ability to follow-up and successfully execute plans

ā€¢ā€ƒā€ƒExcellent interpersonal and communications skills, ability to influence, coach and develop colleagues not in a reporting relationship

ā€¢ā€ƒā€ƒResults oriented and ability to deliver successful outcomes

ā€¢ā€ƒā€ƒAbility to work autonomously across multiple sites and stakeholders

The typical base salary hiring range for this role is $102,400 to $168,250 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
