The Staff Pad has partnered with Corporate Contractors, a respected construction and fabrication company in Beloit, Wisconsin, to find an experienced and safety-focused Fabricator. This is a hands-on role responsible for welding, cutting, assembling, and preparing various metal components used in the construction of custom equipment and structural projects. Fabricate and assemble metal structures using MIG, ARC, and other welding techniques Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Operate fabrication machinery and hand tools Prepare surfaces for welding and ensure clean, high-quality welds Perform anchoring, leveling, and shimming of structures Complete daily timecards and log duties performed Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and work areas Follow all safety procedures including PPE usage, fire watch protocols, and equipment inspections Participate in job site set-up and breakdown, including steel erection and layout Adhere to hot work permit procedures and fire safety best practices Support material take-offs and prepping for coating or painting Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors High School Diploma or GED required Minimum 4 years of fabrication or welding experience Valid driver’s license and auto insurance per company standards OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR, Forklift and Aerial certifications (or ability to obtain within first year) Familiarity with steel, aluminum, and stainless steel Experience with MIG, TIG, and Stick welding preferred Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Ability to read technical documentation and perform job-related math Strong reasoning, communication, and time management skills Capable of lifting heavy materials and working in various physical positions (standing, climbing, kneeling, etc.) Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoors and around loud equipment Minimal travel required (up to 5%) between local job sites or company locations
