Shift Schedule: This is a second shift position. Monday - Friday 2pm - 10:30pm


American Construction Materials (ACM), a strategic business unit of ABC Supply, produces a wide array of metal building materials including trim coil, edge metal, gutter systems, and a variety of other metal accessories. We are looking for a highly organized, tech-savvy Material Handler to join our 2nd shift production team. This is a critical role that bridges the gap between raw inventory and the production floor. You will be responsible for far more than just moving pallets; you will manage complex data transactions in our Oracle system to ensure the right materials are at the right station at the right time.


Key Responsibilities

  • ERP & Inventory Management: Execute complex transactions by picking and scanning raw materials to specific production lines and scanning them to active work orders.
  • Raw Material Fulfillment: Prioritize urgent material requests from production leads and Supervisors to prevent line shutdowns.
  • Full-Cycle Knowledge: While focusing on raw materials, you will also support the put-away process for finished goods and maintain accurate bin locations.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate a sit-down/stand-up forklift to move materials in tight, busy production areas.
  • Dynamic Communication: Act as the primary link between the warehouse and production teams, providing clear updates on material availability.

Requirements & Skills

  • Technical Proficiency: Previous experience with a complex ERP or Warehouse Management System (WMS) is preferred. You must be comfortable with multi-step digital workflows.
  • Prioritization Under Pressure: Proven ability to manage a "multiple demands at once" environment. You can identify which task is the highest priority without losing focus.
  • Emotional Intelligence & Composure: We value a teammate who stays calm and professional when things get stressful. You can navigate conflict with empathy and maintain positive relationships with various departments.
  • Forklift Certification:   Experience operating industrial forklifts safely in high-traffic environments is a plus.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 75lbs throughout an 8-hour shift.

Physical Demand: 

  • Associate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for a full 8-hour day.

Work Environment: 

  • 100% manufacturing setting
  • Associate must comply with assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirement in varies areas, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes.
  • Associate will have exposure to typical working conditions within the manufacturing environment, including but not limited to, seasonal temperature changes, occasional exposure to exhaust fumes, dirt, dust, debris, and grease, moving forklift equipment, and pinch points on machinery.
  • Associate must comply with assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirement in varies areas, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes.
  • Associate will have exposure to typical working conditions within the manufacturing environment, including but not limited to, seasonal temperature changes, occasional exposure to exhaust fumes, dirt, dust, debris, and grease, moving forklift equipment, and pinch points on machinery.
