| JOB SUMMARY |

The Program Manager plays a vital and compassionate oversight role leading Direct Support Professionals in the mission to provide person centered services, empowering individuals with developmental disabilities, complex medical needs, mental illness, and/or substance use disorders to achieve fulfilling lives. The Program Manager is responsible to supervise services for people with disabilities within one or more specific programs. The Program Manager will supervise services for one to four consumers and may supervise several locations. The Program Manager is responsible for direct care and support services for consumers in their assigned designated(s) staffing, financial management, physical plant, and consumer and community relations. Schedules are assigned by the District Manager and must remain flexible to allow for direct supervision of services during all hours and all shifts. Program Managers must be available at all hours to respond in the event of an emergency. Additional, non-scheduled hours may be required. The Program Manager is a supervisor and is responsible for the supervision of Lead Direct Support Professional, Direct Support Professional, and other service personnel assigned. Above all, the Program Manager is responsible to protect and promote the health, safety, and well-being of the people served. The Program Manager is paid hourly and is typically a full time position. Hours are based on the needs of the consumers and the home. Knowledge | Develop and maintain a strong understanding of state and federal regulations, person-centered philosophy, client service needs, medication administration protocols, emergency and disaster response procedures, mandated reporting requirements, and positive behavior support practices. |
Skills | Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, delegate and multi-task effectively. Exercise critical thinking abilities, paired with basic written and verbal communication skills, active listening, and basic reading comprehension. Success in this role requires effective interpersonal skills, teamwork, and problem-solving. |
Abilities | Demonstrates the ability to interact effectively with management, direct reports, families, and regulatory agencies. Must apply social perceptiveness, and maintain strict confidentiality. Exhibits attention to detail, flexibility, and adaptability while prioritizing competing responsibilities. Works effectively with diverse populations and provides compassionate care to clients with medical and behavioral support needs, including administering medications and treatments safely. | ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS |
As Program Manager, you are required to be on call according to the assigned home(s) schedule. During this time you must be within one hour of the homes so should an emergency arise you are able to respond quickly. If you need to switch your designated week for any reason, you need to plan ahead and switch weeks with another available on-call supervisor. This change must be approved by the District Manager ahead of time. When on-call, you are responsible to cover open shifts as needed or as they may arise for the assigned home(s). You are responsible for responding to emergencies. |
