The actual location of this job is in Bend, Oregon (USA). Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families, if needed.

As an EHS Project Lead, you will play a critical role in supporting major growth projects by ensuring the highest standards of environmental, health, and safety performance. Working across engineering, operations, and project teams, you will help create safe, sustainable solutions that enable the manufacture of life-changing therapies for patients around the world. 

This is a fully site-based role. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you will do 

  • Lead environmental, health and safety activities for major capital and growth projects. 
  • Manage air permitting contractor and support onsite activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. 
  • Represent the site during regulatory agencies inspections, reviews and permitting processes. 
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of wastewater treatment and discharge solutions. 
  • Develop and maintain OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) programs. 
  • Facilitate Support hazard assessments, process hazard analyses and HAZOP studies. 
  • Provide practical safety and compliance recommendations that support project success and reduce operational risk. 

What we are looking for 

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental, chemical or mechanical engineering, safety, or a related field. 
  • Five or more years of experience in EHS, manufacturing, consulting or a similar environment. 
  • Experience supporting environmental permitting and regulatory compliance activities. 
  • Knowledge of air quality, wastewater and environmental regulations. 
  • Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) and risk assessment methodologies. 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with regulators and stakeholders. 
  • Excellent problem-solving, project management and relationship-building skills.
