Serán BioScience is searching for a Sample Management Associate to help organize and coordinate inventory for the Quality Control testing laboratory. The Sample Management Associate plays a key role supporting sample coordination by managing QC sample inventory, including the receipt, handling, shipment, and storage of samples supporting the GMP retention program, stability program, and external Contract Testing Laboratories (CTL) testing.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Sample coordination and receipt from other departments for internal and external testing
  • Manages QC sample inventory, including in-process, release, retain, and stability samples
  • Ships samples to external Contract Testing Laboratories (CTL)
  • Follows up with CTLs on testing and turnaround times to ensure testing deadlines are met
  • Performs data entry for tracking & trending of sample management and laboratory reports
  • Keeps accurate and complete records per cGMP.
  • Effectively communicates updates and results from CTLs to internal team and management
  • Initiates laboratory investigations, including OOS
  • All other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
  • High School diploma
  • 1-2 years experience in a position requiring strong analytical skills (measurements, math, labeling, working with spreadsheets)


Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing in laboratory environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
