Medical Call Center Scheduling Coordinator – Bend, OR

Bend Dermatology is seeking a full-time Call Center Scheduling Coordinator to join our growing Dermatology Group in Bend, OR.

We have an immediate opening for an experienced medical scheduler for a high-volume dermatology clinic. Must have 2 years minimum experience working in a medical or hospital call center. Attention to detail is imperative.

Our ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent customer service and communication skills. This position is the first contact with patients and business relations and therefore requires a high level of customer service.

Two years of experience as a medical appointment scheduler is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Answering phones and handling a high volume of calls
  • Scheduling appointments & referrals for 7 locations
  • Obtain accurate new or established insurance information and verification that insurance is active and if a referral/authorization is needed for the appointment
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance in a medical office

Qualifications:

  • Two years of patient scheduling experience in a medical practice or hospital setting- required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment- required
  • Must have strong computer and MS Office skills
  • Familiarity with insurance is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • A team-player attitude is essential

Job Type: Full-time

Monday -Thursday 8-5 and Friday 8- 4

Wage is determined by and commensurate with experience, entry wage is $19/hour.
