Position Overview

As a Master/Certified Volkswagen Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of Volkswagen vehicles. You will use your expertise to perform vehicle adjustments, calibrations, and repairs, ensuring all work meets Kendall and manufacturer standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and identify vehicle issues.
  • Perform adjustments, calibrations, and replenishing fluids.
  • Disassemble and reassemble vehicle components.
  • Repair or replace parts, using independent judgment when necessary.
  • Road test vehicles to ensure quality of work and resolve any remaining issues.
  • Document work completed and track time per manufacturer and Kendall policies.

Working Environment:

  • Work is performed indoors in a clean and safe shop.
  • Tool usage includes mechanic's hand and power tools, which may produce significant vibration and force.
  • Standing and walking will be required throughout the work shift.

Requirements

 

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of previous Volkswagen technician experience at a dealership.
  • Certifications: Current Volkswagen certifications are preferred.
  • Vehicle Knowledge: Must have the ability to work on a wide variety of Volkswagen vehicles with both automatic and manual transmissions.
  • Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform physical tasks, including lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, squatting, and kneeling. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds is occasionally required.
