Job Title: Day Treatment Skills Trainer

Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/week
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Starting Pay: 23.50 per hour

Position Summary

The Day Treatment Skills Trainer works under the direct supervision of the Day Treatment Skills Trainer Supervisor to support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of skills-based therapeutic services for school-aged youth enrolled in the day treatment program. This position plays a key role in helping clients achieve treatment goals through evidence-based interventions, academic support, and skills training in a structured classroom environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide education, direction, modeling, and skills training to assist clients in meeting individualized treatment goals

  • Implement identified evidence-based therapeutic interventions with fidelity

  • Assist with academic instruction and support within a classroom-based day treatment setting

  • Provide emotional support, leadership, structure, and guidance to all clients

  • Deliver trauma-informed care and maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment

  • Supervise clients in the Day Treatment Center and ensure adherence to program expectations

  • Consult and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, agency personnel, and family members regarding client needs and progress

  • Implement treatment programming as part of a multidisciplinary team of professionals

  • Accurately document services and client progress as required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to work effectively with school-aged youth with behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills

  • Ability to provide consistent structure, positive role modeling, and therapeutic support

  • Understanding of trauma-informed care principles

  • Ability to follow program guidelines while exercising sound judgment and professionalism

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, post-secondary education in human services, psychology, education, or a related field preferred

  • Experience working with children or adolescents in a therapeutic, educational, or behavioral health setting preferred

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
