Position Summary:

The Electrical Foreman plays a central role in driving project success by leading field crews, overseeing electrical installations, and ensuring all work is completed to code and on time across commercial, residential, and multifamily job sites all while serving as the key point of contact between the field, project management, and clients.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure proper tools and equipment are present on jobsites.
  • Ensure installations meet NEC, local codes, project specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Reduce costs by ensuring efficient and effective layouts and route of equipment.
  • Planning and laying out detailed electrical systems for entire projects.
  • Effectively communicate project concerns to project management team.
  • Conducting site inspections and identifying potential issues before progress commencement.
  • Daily communication with project managers regarding progress, materials, change orders, and issues.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
  • Effectively managing and supervising journeymen and apprentices on site (crews of at least 5 people).
  • Reviewing job documentation, including time sheets, material orders, and field reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.

 

Requirements:

  • Licensed Journeyman Electrician
  • 5+ years of electrical experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Deep knowledge of the NEC and local building codes
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Competent with laptops/tablets for reporting, scheduling, and email communications.
  • OSHA 30 certification & NFPA 70E
  • Valid driver’s license
  • PPE required at all times.
  • May require overtime, weekends, and travel between job sites.
  • Agility
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly; up to 75 lbs with a partner or mechanical help.
    • Prolonged standing, walking, and moving across job sites.
    • Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching to access low installation areas.
    • Climbing ladders and accessing elevated areas to inspect and supervise work.
    • Ability to perform hands-on electrical work alongside the crew when needed.
    • Safe operation of aerial lift equipment and man lifts when required.
    • Ability to maintain balance on uneven or cluttered job site surfaces.
    • Working in varying environmental conditions (heated, cold, confined).
    • Sustained mental and physical stamina to manage crews across full work shifts.



Working Environment:

  • Field-based leadership role; will work on active construction sites.
  • Moderate noise level.
