Position Summary

The Occupational Therapist screens, evaluates and treats patients/residents, documents services and communicates with families and interdisciplinary team members while facilitating optimization of patient/resident participation in activities of daily living.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide professional Occupational Therapy services.
• Completes documentation accurately and timely.
• Participates in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement initiatives.
• Works efficiently and effectively whole utilizing facility resources responsibly.
• Complies with all facility policies and procedures.
• Supervises Occupational Therapist Assistants, therapy aides and therapy students as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited program in Occupational Therapy.
• Must have one year experience as an Occupational Therapist (geriatric rehabilitation setting preferred)
• Must have current license to practice Occupational Therapy in facility-specific state
• Must have current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
• Must have current certification in Basic Life Support.
• Reliable transportation required
