WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

As an Inventory and Shipping Specialist, you must have the ability to complete data entry in both customer and company systems of record, perform double checks, assist customers with product location and delivery times. Extremely fast paced, candidate must possess excellent customer service skills. These individuals serve as load planners for all Intel deliveries.

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs inventory receipt entry in the Chem-Star WMS and/or customer system(s) of record.
  • Processes specialized customer transactions in Rinchem’s and/or customer system(s) of record (Hold, damaged, disposition)
  • Performs inventory cycle counts and enters customer reconciliation reports in the Chem-Star WMS and/or customer system(s) of record
  • Research inventory discrepancies
  • Performs QC checks on outbound, staged shipments.
  • Answers basic questions about delivery and inventory
  • Provides truck driver directions
  • Receives and makes calls for LTL appointments.
  • Schedules Rinchem dock appointments for both internal and external customers
  • Answers emails regarding basic questions about inventory, transportation scheduling, etc. (internal and external customers)
  • Generates specialized shipping paperwork (BOLs, Manifests, IATA, IMDG) that may include calculating truck weight and determining load capacity
  • Performs general administrative work for the CSC that includes, but not limited to the following:
    • Entering POI data
    • Opening & routing mail
    • Visitor’s log, filing/record retention
    • Archiving records and managing facility office supplies
    • Acts as liaison with service center visitors
    • Trains backup [or 2-in-a-box] to perform all functions for their assigned responsibilities.
    • Enters Customer Records and handles PO Process with Customer

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience and Education:  

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Some college preferred.
  • At least 3 years of customer service experience

Communication Skills:  

  • Ability to initiate and maintain relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ability to create accurate, meaningful, and professional correspondence

Computer Skills:  

  • Ability to learn system(s) of record
  • Accurate data entry
  • MS Office suite skills and experience (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with NCR/CAPA system and ability to help determine root cause and make suggestions for continuous improvement

Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations:

  •   Ability to obtain IMDG, IATA, and other Regulatory Certifications as needed

Other Skills and Abilities:  

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
    Self-directed and motivated; able to take initiative on one’s own
    Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem solving capabilities
    Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly

Other Qualifications:  

  • Must be able to handle flexible schedule.
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Strong attention to detail
