Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

Centro is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position plays a key role in maintaining equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and ensuring a safe and efficient production environment. The Maintenance Technician partners with production teams to support facility systems, manufacturing equipment, and operational excellence.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment, tooling, buildings, and utility systems.
  • Diagnose equipment issues and complete repairs to minimize production interruptions.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, plumbing, heating, cooling, and related systems.
  • Install, repair, rebuild, adjust, and maintain manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Maintain maintenance records and identify replacement parts and equipment needs.
  • Support equipment shutdowns, startups, and changeover activities.
  • Train production associates on basic maintenance procedures and equipment care.
  • Promote workplace safety and comply with all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, OSHA requirements, and hazard communication standards.
  • Keep work areas, equipment, and tools clean, organized, and safe.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and cross-training activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of three years of maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance principles.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and maintenance machinery.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, attendance, and continuous improvement.

Preferred

  • Technical, vocational, or trade school training in maintenance, industrial technology, electrical, mechanical, or a related field.
  • Manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Forklift experience or ability to become certified after hire.

  • Bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands for tool operation.

Work Environment

This position works in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to varying temperatures, machinery, welding operations, noise, and production equipment.
